Shots Fired at Israeli School Aimed at Students; Three Arrested

Shots were fired Sunday at a school in Jisr al-Zarqa, with the apparent intention of hitting students. The incident concluded without any injuries, despite the danger.

Police launched an investigation immediately after the report and subsequently arrested three suspects involved in the shooting. Authorities plan to request an extension of their detention in court, pending the investigation's findings.

This shooting follows closely on the heels of a separate incident where a teacher was shot in the parking lot of an elementary school in Hura, in the Negev, just minutes before the school day began and in front of students. The teacher, Aroua Nasser from Dir Hana in northern Israel, sustained moderate injuries.

Separately, three young men, two brothers aged 17 and 20, and their 22-year-old cousin, were found dead inside a burned-out car in an open area between Baqa al-Gharbiyye and Jatt in the Sharon region. They are suspected of being murdered in another town, possibly Jaljulia, with their bodies and vehicle set ablaze. No suspects have been apprehended in this case.

So far this year, 173 people have been murdered within the Arab community in Israel.
