Jean Silva Dominates UFC Fight with Third-Round Submission

Brazilian UFC fighter Jean Silva secured a significant victory on Saturday night, defeating Jose Delgado via rear-naked choke in the third round of their main event bout at the organization's annual Noche UFC event. This win marks Silva's 18th career victory in 21 fights, coming approximately eight months after his last win.

Silva, who has gained considerable popularity in Israel since arriving there about six weeks prior, faced Delgado after the original opponent, Yair Rodriguez, withdrew. Despite the change in opponent, Silva's performance remained dominant. In the third round, after knocking Delgado down with a punch, Silva transitioned to a dominant position, controlled his opponent, and secured the submission.

Following the tap-out, Silva performed his signature 'bark' celebration, a gesture seemingly in response to pre-fight comments made by Delgado about defeating him. The victory positions Silva strongly, with observers suggesting it's now a matter of 'when, not if' he will contend for a featherweight title.
