Israeli Documentary 'Nez'a' Wins Venice Film Festival Jury Prize
The Israeli documentary film "Nez'a" (Accidental Damage), directed by Yuval Avraham and Rachel Shor, has been awarded the Jury Prize at the 83rd Venice Film Festival's closing ceremony. The film features testimonies from soldiers of Unit 8200, an elite intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), detailing IDF operations during the war in Gaza.
Some of the soldiers featured in the film state that they were "involved in war crimes and genocide." According to the filmmakers, the documentary exposes a deliberate policy of destruction and devastation, including the use of artificial intelligence in military operations.
"Nez'a" previously won the Best Documentary award at the Docaviv film festival in Israel. The directors, Avraham and Shor, are also known for their previous work "No Other Land."
