Hundreds Protest Settler Outpost Plan in Northern Israel

Hundreds of residents from Majd al-Krum protested on Saturday evening in the al-Rous area, within the town's jurisdiction, against the establishment of a settler outpost and attempts by settlers to seize the town's land. The residents gathered in the area, performed prayers, and remained for hours to reject the settlers' land grab.

The residents affirmed their unified stance in defending their land and warned against any attempts to encroach upon or seize it. A joint statement from the Popular Committee and the Local Council of Majd al-Krum indicated that "following recent developments in the al-Rous area, which have raised widespread concern among the people of Majd al-Krum and landowners, the Popular Committee and the Local Council confirm that the matter is receiving serious and direct follow-up."

The statement further noted that "in the coming days, escalating and organized steps will be taken at the legal and popular levels to confront this settler outpost and work towards its removal, in defense of the rights of the people of Majd al-Krum and the protection of their lands." The committee and council concluded by emphasizing that "we will not stand idly by in the face of any infringement on our rights and lands."
