Worker Dies, 12 Injured in Israeli Workplace Accidents This Week

One worker was killed and 12 others were injured in workplace accidents across Israel over the past week. Of the injured, three sustained serious wounds, eight were in moderate condition, and one had minor injuries. Since the beginning of the year, 51 workers have died in such incidents, with 31 of those fatalities occurring in the construction sector.

Notable incidents included a 40-year-old Chinese national who died after falling from the 18th floor of a construction site in Ashdod on Sunday. Also on Sunday, a 32-year-old worker was moderately injured by burns to his lower body in the Gilboa Regional Council and a 30-year-old worker was seriously injured by abdominal trauma in Arraba.

Further incidents occurred on Monday, including a worker in Kiryat Yam suffering multiple system injuries, another in Ramat Gan with chest and abdominal trauma, a 25-year-old in Bnei Brak with a leg injury, and a 34-year-old in the Mishor Adumim industrial zone sustaining serious abdominal and limb injuries from a falling object.

On Tuesday, a 23-year-old worker in Petah Tikva sustained a head injury, and a 30-year-old in Yeroham was moderately injured by a falling object at a factory. Wednesday saw a worker in Jerusalem seriously injured in the limbs by a falling object at a construction site, and a 40-year-old woman in Kiryat Gat moderately injured by a machine at a factory.

Finally, on Thursday, a 43-year-old worker in Lifta was moderately injured in his limbs.
