Israeli Youngster Anan Khalaili Scores First Premier League Goal
Anan Khalaili, a 22-year-old Israeli national team player, scored his debut goal for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday. This marks Khalaili's first goal in the Premier League, achieved in only his third appearance for the club. He is now the youngest Israeli player to score in England's top football division.
Khalaili joins an elite group of 13 Israelis who have scored in the Premier League. This list includes notable players such as Ronnie Rosenthal, Eyal Berkovic, Yossi Benayoun, Walid Badir, Idan Tal, Avi Nimni, Tamir Cohen, Tal Ben Haim, Itay Shechter, Tomer Hemed, Beram Kayal, and Manor Solomon. The first Israeli to score in the top English league, prior to the Premier League's establishment, was the late Avi Cohen.
