Palestinians reported clashes with Israeli soldiers and settlers near the village of Faqu'a, close to Jenin, on Saturday. According to Palestinian accounts, Israeli forces arrived in the area following a dispute between settlers and local residents. Footage from the incident appears to show a Palestinian being shot in the leg. Following the incident, Israeli forces reportedly took control of a local home.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its forces were present in the area due to friction between Israeli civilians and Palestinians. The IDF stated that a force at the scene fired into the air and towards a Palestinian. The military announced that the incident is under investigation by commanders, and its findings will be reviewed by the relevant authorities.
