IDF Investigates Claims of Improper Fire After West Bank Clashes
Clashes erupted between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers near the village of Faqu'a, close to Jenin, in the West Bank on Saturday. According to Palestinian reports, IDF forces arrived in the area following a dispute between Israeli settlers and local residents. During the confrontation, an IDF force fired, hitting one Palestinian in the leg. Footage from the scene appears to corroborate this account. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit confirmed that earlier on Saturday, a report was received regarding friction between Israeli civilians and Palestinians near Faqu'a, within the Menashe Brigade area. The IDF stated that a military force at the location fired into the air and towards a Palestinian. The military added that the incident is currently under review by commanders, and its findings will be transferred to the relevant authorities for examination.
