Gaza Violence: Israeli Fire Causes Casualties in Khan Younis, Jabalia
A Palestinian was killed and several others injured on Saturday in an Israeli strike in the Mawasi Khan Younis area of Gaza. Local sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians near displacement camps, resulting in nine injuries and damage to tents. Additional casualties were reported from Israeli fire in Jabalia, Khan Younis, and the Beit Lahia project.
The Civil Defense in Gaza announced on Saturday the recovery of 13 bodies, including five in the Nuseirat camp and eight in the Zeitoun and Yarmouk areas of Gaza City. Israeli artillery shelling was also reported east of the Bureij camp in central Gaza, east of Gaza City, and in the Jabalia camp in the north.
Israeli naval vessels reportedly fired on fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City. Since the start of the conflict on October 7, 2023, over 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 174,000 injured, with approximately 90% of the infrastructure destroyed.
