Tal Har'el Netanyahu Appointed Deputy Bank Supervisor
The Bank of Israel has appointed Tal Har'el Netanyahu as the new Deputy Supervisor of Banks and head of the Bank Customer Service Department, following a tender process. Har'el Netanyahu brings 24 years of experience from the Bank of Israel, holding various leadership roles in bank supervision, including deputy supervisor for technology and innovation, head of the Supervisor's office, and director of strategy and special projects.
In her previous roles, she led initiatives such as simplifying bank transfers, launching a platform to locate dormant accounts, developing emergency assistance programs for bank customers, combating fraud, and promoting financial literacy for seniors. She holds degrees in law and business administration and has completed executive management programs at Harvard Business School and the "Digital Leaders" program.
The Bank Customer Service Department is responsible for the interface between the banking system and the public, focusing on integrity, transparency, service, accessibility, customer rights, and bank practices.
In her new position, Har'el Netanyahu will lead the department's activities and contribute to supervisory policy regarding customer-bank relations.
