Smotrich Removes MK Solomon from All Knesset Committees After He Voted Against Basic Law on Torah Study

Religious Zionism chairman Bezalel Smotrich announced his decision to remove MK Moshe Solomon from all Knesset committees on which he serves on behalf of the faction, after Solomon voted against the Basic Law on Torah Study, which passed its preliminary reading, in violation of the party’s decision. In his statement, it said that “MK Solomon was aware of and involved in the entire process and at no stage raised any objection or intention to vote against. Nevertheless, he chose to act on his own, surprised all members of the faction and severely damaged their trust in him.”
