After Knesset committee removal, Hendel proposes bringing Moshe Solomon into the Reservists Party
"We’ve had enough": Yoaz Hendel sharply attacks the ultra-Orthodox parties / Reuven Castro
Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the Reservists Party, sharply criticized the coalition today, Wednesday, over the Basic Law on Torah study and over the removal of MK Moshe Solomon from Knesset committees. In a message he sent in an internal Reservists Party group, Hendel wrote, "What is happening today is a disgrace. Smotrich supports the Basic Law of draft evasion, and then removes from Knesset committees anyone who shows Zionist backbone."
Hendel added that he had acted to advance Solomon’s joining his party: "I just sent word to speak with Moshe Solomon, as far as I’m concerned we should bring him to our party."
The remarks come after the uproar surrounding Solomon’s vote against the Basic Law on Torah study, and after the coalition decided to remove him from some of the committee memberships he held.

Hendel attacked Smotrich’s party: "The Religious Zionist Party has become an empty shell that represents the ultra-Orthodox," and stressed that "someone so disconnected from the Religious Zionist sector cannot call themselves by that name."
Religious Zionism said after Solomon was removed from the committee memberships he held on behalf of the faction that "MK Moshe Solomon chose to act on his own, contrary to the faction’s decision. He did not inform his colleagues in advance that he intended to vote against it, and surprised all the faction members with his conduct, thereby severely damaging their trust in him."
It was further said that this was a breach of faction discipline that, in the faction’s view, does not allow continued representation on Knesset committees on behalf of the party.
