Family of Missing Girl Appeals for Prayers Ahead of Jewish New Year

The family of missing girl Haimenot Kassao has appealed to the Israeli public for prayers and support as they face their third Rosh Hashanah without her. Haimenot disappeared 929 days ago, and her family remains at the absorption center in Safed, refusing to leave until she is found. They are currently the sole residents of the center.

Tesfaye Kassao, Haimenot's father, expressed deep gratitude to everyone who has supported the family over the past two and a half years, offering material, moral, and prayerful assistance. He conveyed wishes for a good and blessed year to fellow citizens, noting the convergence of Rosh Hashanah and the Ethiopian holiday of Enkutatash.

"We ask the entire people of Israel to direct their prayers for our Haimenot to return from wherever she is and rejoin her family," Tesfaye stated. He also expressed a desire for his family to resume normal life, including studies and work, and hopes for a future celebration to thank the nation for its support of Haimenot, whom he described as having become like family to the entire country.

Tesfaye prayed for peace and security for Israel and asked God to perform a miracle and bring his daughter home.
