The committee working to bring back Haimanut Kassa, together with her family and supporters, is intensifying its campaign and will hold a march and central solidarity rally in Tel Aviv. The goal is to renew public attention to the mysterious disappearance of the young girl and to press the authorities to use every available means to resolve the case.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a gathering at the Savidor Central train station plaza in Tel Aviv. At 6:30 p.m., participants will march on foot to Hostages Square in the city, where a special statement to the media is planned for 7:10 p.m. by family members and representatives of the committee.
The organizers urged the public to come and take part, stressing what they described as society’s moral duty not to let the issue fade. “The public in Israel cannot, and must not, accept the disappearance of a young girl without getting answers,” the committee said, adding, “We must rescue Haimanut and bring her back home to her family.” The list of speakers and public figures expected to address the rally will be released close to the event.
