Israeli Settler Leader Israel Gantz Ranked Among Influential Global Jewish Figures

Israel Gantz, head of the Benjamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, has been recognized as one of the most prominent and influential figures in the Jewish world for the current year. He was ranked 27th on the prestigious annual list compiled by The Jerusalem Post, an achievement seen as a significant international and media success for the leadership of the Israeli settlement movement.

The Jerusalem Post cited Gantz's emergence as a dominant leader in the region, highlighting his effective dual role. He manages the Benjamin Regional Council, the largest in Israel, while also leading the political, public relations, and strategic campaign for the future of Judea and Samaria through his position at the Yesha Council.

The newspaper specifically noted Gantz's extensive international activities in the United States, aimed at increasing American support for settlements and establishing a political foundation for Israeli sovereignty in the region. This included a meeting with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders and his work with the CPAC organization, which resulted in a formal resolution supporting Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Gantz also maintained close ties with the U.S. administration, meeting twice recently with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.

Gantz's political stances were also prominent at the JNS conference in Jerusalem, where he urged the utilization of a political "window of opportunity" and stated, "With the backing of the American superpower, we must establish sovereignty over Judea and Samaria."

The Jerusalem Post concluded its assessment by looking towards the future, suggesting that Gantz will play a crucial role if Israeli sovereignty in the region is realized, potentially shaping and implementing its application.
