Chairman of the Knesset Education, Culture and Sports Committee, MK Zvi Sukkot, visited on Thursday morning the Road Al-‘Alam Al-Mudjiyah school in Kafr Aqab, in northern Jerusalem, under heavy security. The school receives millions of shekels in Israeli Education Ministry funding, but according to the report it teaches Palestinian Authority materials that incite against Israel and encourage terrorism.
Sukkot said the visit was part of a broader effort to strengthen governance in Arab education institutions and to stop violence, crime and terror-linked education. He said he is leading a determined campaign against state funding for schools that teach inciting content and oppose cooperation with Israel.
During the visit, he warned that schools in Kafr Aqab receive tens of millions of shekels from the Education Ministry, while many of them in practice teach students material that promotes terror incitement from the Palestinian Authority. He added,
