Coalition Gains to 50 Seats Ahead of Knesset Elections
Israel's ruling coalition has strengthened its position, reaching 50 seats in the Knesset following the conclusion of candidate list submissions for the upcoming elections. This boost comes from a poll conducted by Maariv newspaper's research center in collaboration with Lazar Research and Panel4ALL, led by Dr. Menahem Lazar.
The Likud party, the leading faction within the coalition, has seen its representation drop to 19 seats, its lowest point since May 2025. Conversely, the "Am Israel" party, headed by Ofer Winter, has successfully crossed the electoral threshold, securing 4 seats. Other parties, including the Reservists Party and the Economic Party, failed to gain parliamentary representation.
The opposition bloc, comprising Zionist parties, maintains a significant lead with 58 seats, while Arab sector parties hold 12 seats. The percentage of undecided voters has decreased from 11% to 7.5% since the official closing of party lists.
Sociological data also indicates a persistent gap in public perception regarding leadership suitability for the prime minister's post, with current ratings remaining largely unchanged.
