Fire Engulfs Eilat Electric Scooter Store, No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out today in a store selling electric bicycles and scooters on HaHorev Street in Eilat. Fire and rescue teams responded to the scene, working to extinguish the flames, search the premises, and clear the smoke. The incident concluded without any injuries, although the store sustained damage.
Initial reports reached the Israel Fire and Rescue Services' 102 hotline, prompting the dispatch of firefighting crews. Upon arrival at the commercial center, firefighters identified smoke emanating from one of the stores. They were forced to break into the shop to reach the fire's origin and immediately began efforts to suppress the blaze and prevent its spread to adjacent businesses.
Concurrently with firefighting operations, crews conducted thorough searches inside the building to ensure no individuals were trapped. After confirming the absence of trapped persons, the teams worked to ventilate the structure and remove the accumulated smoke. The store where the fire occurred, which sells electric bikes and scooters, suffered damage from the fire and smoke. The exact extent of the property damage has not yet been determined.
A fire investigator from the Israel Fire and Rescue Services has been called to the scene to examine the findings and determine the cause and origin of the fire.
