Maccabi Netanya Negotiates Deal for Brazilian Winger Isaac

Israeli soccer club Maccabi Netanya has confirmed negotiations for Brazilian winger Isaac, who plays for Athletico Paranaense. The proposed deal involves a season-long loan for Isaac, with a monthly salary of approximately 15,000 euros. Should Netanya wish to purchase the player permanently, they would be obligated to sign him for three seasons.

Owner Ross Kaston has approved the acquisition and instructed the club to continue seeking a midfielder at the expense of William Cyprian. Cyprian, however, is demanding his full salary in exchange for his departure, a request Netanya has rejected. The club has decided against freezing Cyprian's contract due to fears of a potential lawsuit.

In other player movements, Sahar Taji, released on Thursday, received two months' salary in exchange for forfeiting his contract. Itai Ben Shabbat requested Netanya cover the difference in salary offered by Hapoel Petah Tikva, but the club declined.

Regarding defensive options, if no additional foreign center-back is signed, either Ben Shabbat or Saba Hudgeani will remain, though neither is part of the club's professional plans. In such a scenario, Netanya might consider acquiring another foreign player in January.

Due to Aziz Watara's injury, Bassam Zaaroura is expected to return to the starting lineup for the upcoming match against Hapoel Ramat Gan, scheduled for Monday in Rehovot.
