Beit Shemesh Mayor Tours Employment Centers for People with Disabilities

Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg, accompanied by Deputy Mayor and Welfare Commissioner Shlomo Brilant, city officials, and welfare department executives, toured the employment centers of the "Ali Shich" association in Beit Shemesh. The centers provide vocational and professional frameworks for hundreds of individuals with disabilities.

During the visit, Greenberg toured centers for both boys and girls, observed the activities, and spoke with professional staff and center managers. He met with Yafi Alter, the centers' director, who briefed him on the operations and professional support provided. The mayor also met with a mother of one of the participants, who praised the staff and Alter for their dedication, stating, "It's a miracle that Beit Shemesh has 'Ali Shich.' It's a place that allows us to sleep soundly, knowing we send our child to a place that truly cares."

Mayor Greenberg expressed his admiration for the "professionalism of the people working here" and the "magnitude of kindness" evident in providing tailored employment for people with disabilities. Deputy Mayor Brilant highlighted the close collaboration with "Ali Shich" to offer therapeutic employment and pledged continued support for developing these projects.

Rabbi Chaim Farkash, CEO of "Ali Shich," thanked Mayor Greenberg, Brilant, and the welfare department for their fruitful cooperation. He commended Greenberg as a mayor who "truly cares" and works "day and night" for the city's residents, expressing gratitude for their partnership in advancing services for people with disabilities and their families.
