IDF Spokesperson Tours Hezbollah Tunnel in Lebanon, Declares Area Cleared

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson announced a significant operational achievement in southern Lebanon, standing inside a large Hezbollah tunnel on the Ali Taher ridge. He declared the area cleared and its central underground infrastructure destroyed.

"This network was built over two decades, funded and directed by the Iranian terror regime," the IDF stated. "In recent months, our forces surrounded the area and increased pressure on the routes and the terrorists entrenched within. All terrorists who were in the infrastructure were eliminated or fled. Despite Hezbollah's declaration to defend this infrastructure at all costs, it failed and abandoned its men to die inside."

The spokesperson emphasized the heavy cost of the operation, stating, "In the battles to capture and clear the ridge, our fighters, the best of our sons, fell. These achievements are first and foremost theirs. We will continue to operate to defend the northern communities and remove any threat along all borders."
