IDF Strikes Hezbollah Tunnels in Northern Israel Amid High Alert
The Israeli military announced late Thursday that it would conduct controlled explosions and strikes along the Lebanese border, warning residents of the Upper Galilee to expect audible booms across the region, including the central Upper Galilee, Ramim Ridge, Hula Valley, and the Golan Heights. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had issued a warning earlier in the evening. The IDF emphasized that there were no changes to public safety guidelines at that time.
Shortly after the announcement, the IDF carried out airstrikes targeting tunnels located on the Ali Taher Ridge. The operation comes amid a period of heightened alert in Israel.
