Police Raid in Ramla Uncovers Anti-Tank Missile in Residential Area

Police discovered an unusual and dangerous item during a raid on a residential complex in Ramla on Thursday: a LAW anti-tank missile. A local resident was arrested in connection with the find and taken for questioning. The missile was located during a joint operation involving officers from the Yamam special patrol unit, detectives from the Central District's intelligence unit, Border Police forces from the Sharon region, and officers from the Ramla police station. The operation was part of an ongoing effort to combat violent disputes within the Arab community and illegal weapons, including those stolen from the IDF.

The Central District, in conjunction with the Border Police, operates a special command center focused on preventing violent incidents and locating illegal weaponry. In a separate operation in the nearby city of Lod, Border Police and Lod station detectives seized six weapon magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition of various types. A suspect was detained for questioning.

Police stated that forces will continue their operations against crime in the Arab community and the possession of illegal weapons, emphasizing their commitment to combating violence and blood feuds.
