Suspects Detained Over Theft of More Than a Ton of Watermelons Near Nahal Oz
Several suspects were detained on suspicion of stealing more than a ton of watermelons from farmland near Nahal Oz. The report came in yesterday about suspicious people in the agricultural fields close to the community.
Border Police officers arrived at the scene and spoke with the landowner, who told them that no farming activity was taking place at that hour and that he had not authorized anyone to take produce from his fields.
Later, officers identified several vehicles and suspects apparently loading watermelons. The incident is being investigated as a suspected theft from agricultural land.
