Rabbi Tzvi Tau Makes Surprise Visit to Noam Party Election Headquarters

Rabbi Tzvi Tau made an unexpected visit on Thursday to the election headquarters of the Noam L'Yisrael party, offering encouragement and blessings to its leadership, candidates, and activists ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections. The visit follows the party's decision to run independently in the elections.

During his address, Rabbi Tau drew parallels between Noam's independent run and the early days of the Zionist movement, recalling predictions of antisemitism and persecution that were made at that time. He urged party activists not to be deterred by anticipated criticism, stating, "We must forgive in advance all the insults, all the curses, and all the blasphemies. They are deathly afraid that we will be a factor that renews something here that no one else is dealing with. We will stand firm because the people of Israel need this like air to breathe. We can no longer remain silent."

Rabbi Tau emphasized that he views the party's endeavor not merely as a political move but as a profound national necessity, describing it as a matter of "saving a life" that requires action. He asserted that political calculations alone will not suffice to save the people of Israel, but rather the "original, true spirit from the depths of the soul."

He also noted a perceived spiritual awakening within the Israeli public, citing a spontaneous return to religious observance, including keeping Shabbat and reciting penitential prayers. Rabbi Tau concluded by stating that while they do not rely on miracles, they are acting with effort, purity of heart, a logical and organized plan, and careful consideration, declaring, "The time has come to declare the truth."
