Israel Football Association Launches Legends Initiative to Connect Past and Future
Approximately 70 former players and coaches from various eras of the Israel national football team gathered on Thursday evening in Herzliya for a special event inaugurating the Israel Football Association's Legends Initiative. The event aimed to honor their contributions and reintegrate these past stars, leveraging their experience, knowledge, and legacy for the present and future national teams.
Attendees included members of the historic 1970 World Cup squad, alongside numerous other players and coaches who have shaped the team's history. The evening also featured a moving tribute to coaches who have passed away, including Shper, Grundman, Shneur, Kashtan, and Schweitzer.
