Jewish Power Party Acquires Rights to Eyal Golan Hit for Election Jingle
The far-right Otzma Yehudit party, led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, has purchased the rights to the lyrics of Eyal Golan's popular song "Mi SheMa'amin" (He Who Believes). The party intends to use the song as its election jingle for the upcoming October elections.
The agreement was reached after negotiations between the party and the song's creators, lyricist Yossi Gispan and composer Adi Leon. Leon confirmed the deal, expressing hope that the song, which he described as unifying, would bring people together.
Otzma Yehudit stated that they acquired the rights to the lyrics specifically for use on stickers and signs, adopting the slogan "He who believes is not afraid," derived from the song's title. This slogan will be featured prominently in their campaign materials.
In addition to its use as a campaign jingle, the party plans to officially release a new song titled "Otzma Yehudit," incorporating the acquired lyrics. The new rendition will feature right-wing activist Yoav "The Shadow" Eliasi and religious singer Ben Snof. Party officials indicated that the jingle is expected to be launched in the coming days.
