Otzma Yehudit Party Licenses Eyal Golan Hit Song for Campaign Anthem

The Israeli political party Otzma Yehudit, led by Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, has acquired the rights to use the popular Israeli song "Mi She'Ma'amin" (He Who Believes), famously associated with singer Eyal Golan, for its upcoming election campaign. The deal was negotiated with the song's original creators, lyricist Yossi Gispan and composer Adi Leon.

While the party secured the rights to the melody and concept, Eyal Golan himself will not perform the political version. Instead, the new rendition, titled "Otzma Yehudit," will feature rapper Yoav Eliasi, known as "HaTzel," and religious singer Ben Snof. Eliasi is known for his strong alignment with Ben-Gvir's hawkish political stance.

The duo has already entered the recording studio with producer Peleg to create a version blending right-wing activist rap with traditional melodies. The song is intended to serve as both a catchy jingle for party rallies and an official single aimed at energizing right-wing activists.

This campaign move comes amid significant political maneuvering following recent reports that Ben-Gvir is not interested in continuing in his current role as National Security Minister in the next government. However, Otzma Yehudit insists it intends to retain control of the influential ministry, underscoring the party's effort to maximize its electoral strength for future coalition negotiations.
