Ammunition Sold for $1,000 Reached Terrorists Who Carried Out Attack
An indictment has been filed against three individuals involved in the illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition, which ultimately reached terrorists who carried out a shooting attack. Ali Abu Nadi, from the town of Lakiya, is accused of selling 150 rounds of 9mm ammunition for 4,000 shekels (approximately $1,000 USD). This ammunition was subsequently used by terrorists in a shooting incident.
The investigation began in July following a shooting attack, leading authorities to Abu Nadi. The probe expanded, uncovering further arms trafficking and smuggling offenses. Abu Nadi allegedly supplied not only ammunition but also an M16 rifle and a pistol.
The indictment includes 18 counts against Abu Nadi for weapons and ammunition offenses, encompassing the trafficking, sale, and possession of various firearms, including M16 rifles, a hunting rifle, and pistols, along with magazines and ammunition. A knife and gloves were also found in his possession.
Two other individuals, Aluridat and Abu Karan, are also indicted. Aluridat faces charges for illegal entry into Israel, while Abu Karan is accused of transporting an illegal alien. The prosecution emphasized the significant danger posed by individuals possessing and using firearms, particularly in the current climate where gun violence has become a widespread problem in Israel. The indictment specifically notes that the ammunition sold to Abu Nadi ended up in the hands of terrorists who attacked IDF soldiers shortly after its sale.
