Petah Tikva Mayor Greets New Year With Progress Report

Petah Tikva Mayor Rami Greenberg has extended his New Year's greetings, reflecting on the past year's achievements despite wartime challenges. He highlighted the city's continued development and forward-looking initiatives, emphasizing that municipal taxes have not increased for eight years and no security tax is being collected.

The mayor detailed significant investments in education, including new facilities, upgrades to existing ones, unique pedagogical programs, and advancements in youth and informal education. The city has also bolstered its security infrastructure, establishing numerous new protected spaces and safe rooms.

Greenberg pointed to substantial progress in infrastructure, urban renewal, and development projects. The city center is undergoing renewal with new streets, leisure areas, and public spaces. Looking ahead, plans include 11 new metro stations, integration with the Red Line of the light rail, connections to the Purple Line, public transport routes, electric terminals, an additional eastern train station, and advanced road and transport infrastructure.

He wished residents a good, quiet, and safe year, marked by continued action, growth, and the realization of dreams. Greenberg expressed his commitment to building Petah Tikva into a city that is good to live in today and even better for future generations to grow and develop.
