Carvin Andrade Leaves Maccabi Tel Aviv for Brazilian Club Recife

Venezuelan international Carvin Andrade is departing Maccabi Tel Aviv after a disappointing year in Israel, returning to Brazil to join Recife. Details emerging from Brazil reveal that Recife has an option to purchase 60% of Andrade's contract for 2 million euros after his loan spell. Andrade has reportedly waived money owed to him by Maccabi Tel Aviv and will accept a lower salary at Recife.

Andrade, 21, initially joined Maccabi Tel Aviv from the Brazilian league a year ago for 1.8 million euros. He failed to impress in his single season, scoring just three goals and providing one assist in 28 league appearances. This season, he has played only six minutes as a substitute in a European match against CSKA Sofia.

Maccabi Tel Aviv, who still hold a contract with Andrade, advised him to seek a loan to gain playing time and develop. However, Andrade had previously rejected offers from European clubs, preferring a return to Brazil where he previously played for Fortaleza. Recife currently sits tenth in the Brazilian second division, 12 points behind the leader with 12 games remaining in the season.

Negotiations for Andrade's transfer were reportedly stalled by an offer from the Brazilian club, with his foreign agents initially pushing for a move to his home country. Andrade's preference was to return to Brazil, where he had played previously for Fortaleza.
