Maccabi Tel Aviv Midfielder Andrade's Move to Greek Club Collapses
Brazilian midfielder Kervin Andrade will not be joining Greek club Volos, despite earlier expectations. Negotiations between Andrade and Volos have reportedly collapsed, and the player is now on his way to Brazilian club Sport Recife. Andrade was previously en route to Volos, with his contract including a purchase option of 1.6 million euros and Maccabi Tel Aviv retaining 20% of any future sale.
Andrade, who was acquired by Maccabi Tel Aviv for 1.8 million euros, had a disappointing season, scoring only three goals and providing one assist in 28 league appearances. This season, he has barely featured for the Israeli club, with a single six-minute appearance as a substitute in a European match against CSKA Sofia.
The 21-year-old player is still under contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv. The club had advised him to seek a loan move to gain playing time and develop. However, Andrade has rejected offers from Europe, preferring to return to Brazil, where he previously played for Fortaleza.
