Tiberias Club Accuses Investigator of Receiving Instructions from Football Association Chairman

The legal proceedings for the "Tiberias infusion case" continued Thursday at the Football Association's tribunal, with the club's representatives demanding the disqualification of the investigator, Dean Perger. Tiberias's lawyers, including Zion Amir, Eyal Yaffe, and Nir Lazar, argued for a complete acquittal, stating that the players were not accused of using infusions while the club was, and that without proof of the quantity and duration of the infusions, the club should be acquitted. They then launched a sharp attack on investigator Dean Perger, alleging "investigation contamination" and claiming he "received instructions from the Association Chairman, Shino Zoaretz." The Association's prosecutor, Gilad Bergman, vehemently denied these claims, stating, "It never happened." Bergman accused Tiberias's lawyers of attempting to conduct a futile, time-wasting process, asserting, "We have no problem with a parade, with the players coming, the investigator too. Our idea is to save time." He further accused the club of administering infusions "in the dark," claiming ignorance of the prohibition, injuring a player, failing to inform the players, and attempting to conceal and tamper with evidence.
