Missing Israeli Man Found Alive Near Qalqilya After Extensive Search
Yiniv Sardal, a resident of Ariel, who had been missing since Wednesday evening, was located alive on Thursday near the Palestinian city of Qalqilya. Sardal had reportedly entered a village in the Samaria region of the West Bank of his own volition.
Security forces launched an extensive search operation for Sardal overnight. An inter-organizational command post was established, and technological and intelligence-gathering capabilities were deployed. The search involved personnel from the Israel Police and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), including special units such as the Prison Service's Matzada unit, and a police helicopter.
After many hours of searching, Sardal was found alive in the Qalqilya area. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and presence in the Palestinian village remain under investigation.
