Israeli Strike Kills Four Palestinians in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations

An Israeli airstrike on a house in Beit Lahia, Gaza, killed four members of the Ahmed family, according to local sources. Civil defense crews and residents recovered the bodies from the rubble of the family home. The strike occurred after a day of intensified Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, targeting residential areas, civilian gatherings, and a motorcycle in the central and northern Gaza Strip. Reports also indicate Israeli forces fired on displaced Palestinians in Khan Younis, resulting in one Palestinian killed and 14 others injured, including two children. Specific areas affected by these attacks included the Nuseirat and Al-Shati refugee camps, Sheikh Ajlin, and Sheikh Radwan, as well as various parts of Khan Younis. Additionally, three Palestinians were injured by an Israeli drone strike in the Khan Younis refugee camp, and others, including one critically injured, were hurt in shelling in the Al-Tineh street area west of Khan Younis.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that violations of the ceasefire agreement had resulted in 1,358 deaths and 4,541 injuries as of Wednesday, with ongoing shelling and gunfire. In response, the Israeli military and the General Security Service announced they had targeted three sites in Gaza, claiming they were Hamas weapons depots containing explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and combat equipment. The Israeli military stated it used precision munitions and aerial surveillance, along with prior warnings, to minimize civilian risk, and affirmed its commitment to continuing operations against immediate threats.

Since October 8, 2023, the conflict in Gaza has led to over 73,000 Palestinian casualties and more than 174,000 injured, with approximately 90% of the Strip's infrastructure destroyed.
