Sa'ar cuts ties with EU foreign policy chief over apartheid comparison report
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said he is severing contact with EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas after reports said she compared Israel to an apartheid regime during closed-door meetings in Mexico. The allegation has not been denied by Kallas since it was published about a week ago.
Sa'ar accused Kallas, whom he described as the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, of acting for some time “obsessively and with disgraceful dishonesty” against Israel. He said, “I have no choice but to cut off all contact with her until she retracts this blood libel.”
