Israeli Players Shine in MLS with Multiple Goals and Assists
Several Israeli soccer players made significant contributions in Major League Soccer matches played between Tuesday and Wednesday. Tai Baribo returned to the starting lineup for D.C. United after an injury and scored twice in their 2-1 victory over Columbus Crew, bringing his season total to 14 goals. His team is now two points away from a playoff spot.
In another match, Liel Abada scored a goal for Charlotte FC in the 37th minute, and substitute Idan Toklomati added the game-winner in the 81st minute, securing a 2-1 away win against CF Montréal. Abada's goal was his fifth since the World Cup break, and Toklomati's was his eighth of the season.
Meanwhile, in the New York City FC versus New England Revolution game, Eyal Feingold, who came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, provided the assist for the winning goal. Dor Turgeman started the match for New England but was substituted after 71 minutes. New England is currently third in the Eastern Conference with 40 points.
Ran Benjamin also featured for Dallas FC, starting at right-back for the first time in his career before being substituted in the 77th minute. Dallas is third in the Western Conference with 40 points.
