Likud Accuses Journalists, Politicians of Foreign Election Interference
The Likud party has leveled serious accusations, alleging that a recent report in the Haaretz newspaper constitutes blatant foreign interference in Israeli elections. According to Likud, senior Palestinian official Mohammed Dahlan, based in the UAE, is behind the report, aiming to destabilize the right-wing government to seize control of Gaza by installing a "weak left-wing government." The party further claims that journalist Shlomi Eldar was paid by a left-wing organization linked to Yair Golan's "The Democrats" party to disseminate the report. Likud also asserted that Golan and former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar recently made a secret visit to the UAE.
