Maccabi Netanya is preparing for training camp next week, but attacking midfielder Junior Diordanja is not in coach Roni Levy's plans. Netanya is now trying to find another club for the player, who arrived last summer from Austria's First Vienna and has barely featured enough to meet expectations.
Diordanja, who still has two more years on his contract, made 27 appearances in all competitions and scored two goals. Club officials view that return as below par for a foreign attacking midfielder, and his departure would free up a foreign-player slot for a replacement signing.
According to a report published on Wednesday by Sport Channel, Netanya is also seeking a team to take Georgian defender Saba Khvadagiani on loan after he returned from injury. In addition, Omri Shamir, who played only 15 matches in all competitions this season, could also go out on loan.
Hapoel Ramat Gan, the club Shamir came from, may be the one to take him. The developments come as Netanya continues its squad planning ahead of the coming season.
