Maccabi Haifa Loans Young Midfielder Dickson Mohamed to Hapoel Afula

Maccabi Haifa has officially loaned 18-year-old midfielder Dickson Mohamed to Hapoel Afula for the upcoming season. Mohamed, who is the younger brother of current Maccabi Haifa player Ali Mohamed, recently signed a long-term professional contract with the club. He will gain playing experience in the National League, Israel's second-tier football league.

Mohamed, who is 13 years younger than his brother, has been monitored by Maccabi Haifa for an extended period. He participated in training sessions with the senior team under coach Barak Bakhar. The club noted that Dickson's playing style is very similar to his brother's, characterized by physicality and the ability to initiate quick attacks from midfield. He can play multiple midfield positions, typically as a defensive midfielder (number 6) or a box-to-box midfielder (number 8), and has also been tested as a left winger.

His initial connection with Maccabi Haifa dates back to July 2024, nearly two years ago, when his brother Ali, who is not considered a foreign player, acted as his guardian. Dickson Mohamed trained with the youth team last season, which had a successful UEFA Youth League campaign, but did not play in official matches.
