Prominent Rabbi Blesses Rosh Hashanah Apples and Honey for Girls at Rescue Institution

Days before the Jewish New Year, Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, the Grand Rabbi of Makov, visited the 'Beit Lifletot' institution, known for rescuing Jewish girls. He came to bless the apples and honey that will be served to the girls during the holiday meals.

Rabbi Weiss was welcomed by the institution's management, Rabbi Chaim Elazar Rosenfeld and Rabbi Gabriel Pappenheim. He expressed his deep admiration for the institution's extensive work, especially upon hearing about the preparations for the upcoming month of Tishrei. Recalling a previous visit in 2020 when a new wing was inaugurated, the Rabbi noted, "Certainly, since then, the activities have expanded manifold. I hear much about the rescue efforts; it is a blessing for all of Israel, truly saving the generation."

He also acknowledged the significant efforts of his longtime friend, Rabbi Moshe Yona Rosenfeld, the president of the institutions, who is currently abroad fundraising. The institution's director, Rabbi Chaim Elazar Rosenfeld, presented the Rabbi with details of the organization's expanded rescue operations, including the establishment of the 'Bechad' and 'Bishvilcha' programs for single-parent families, founded in recent years.

The emotional highlight of the event was when Rabbi Weiss, with reverence and fervent love for the Jewish people, blessed the apples and honey for the girls. He bestowed blessings for several minutes, using biblical and rabbinic language, leaving a profound impression on all attendees.
