Blue and White Slams 'Change Bloc' Leaders Amid Pressure on Gantz to Withdraw

The "Blue and White" party has issued a sharp retort to senior figures within the "Change Bloc" who are reportedly pressuring party leader Benny Gantz to withdraw from the upcoming Knesset race. These "Change Bloc" officials have allegedly described Gantz as a "hindering factor" to electoral success and suggested his continued candidacy could benefit Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to reports, senior figures in the "Change Bloc" have intensified their pressure on Gantz, citing Blue and White's poor performance in recent polls. One anonymous senior figure claimed Gantz is "motivated by personal frustration" and would not object to Netanyahu remaining prime minister. These statements have been strongly rejected by Blue and White.

The party responded by urging these "Change Bloc" leaders to "deeply introspect and look in the mirror" before offering advice. Blue and White contrasted their own focus on "the future of our children" with the alleged "personal calculations" made by bloc leaders on October 7th, the day of the Hamas attacks, when "babies were slaughtered, women were raped, and our brothers bled in the south."

Blue and White reiterated their commitment to forming a "Zionist, cross-bloc government" that does not rely on extremist parties or Arab political factions, stating this represents "real change." This statement follows remarks by Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the "Yisrael Beiteinu" party, who defined the "Change Bloc" as comprising only four parties and warned that voting for any other party equates to voting for Netanyahu.
