Maccabi Tel Aviv Eyes Veteran Striker Alon Turgeman
Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly interested in signing Alon Turgeman, the 35-year-old striker currently playing for Hapoel Haifa. Turgeman has a long history in the Israeli Premier League, having previously played for Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv, among other clubs. He has started the current season strongly, scoring two goals in the first three matches for Hapoel Haifa, including a notable goal against Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
If the transfer materializes, it would mark Turgeman's sixth stint in the Israeli Premier League. His previous clubs include Hapoel Petah Tikva, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Bnei Yehuda, and Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Turgeman also has experience playing in Europe for Austria Wien and Wisla Krakow, and has earned two caps for the Israeli national team.
Maccabi Tel Aviv is actively seeking to strengthen its squad, particularly in the striker position, as they currently have only two senior forwards, Ester Sukler and Elad Madmon. The club is also reportedly pursuing a right winger and a center-back.
