Truck Driver Critically Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

A truck driver, approximately 50 years old, was seriously and unstably injured on Wednesday morning in a road accident involving two trucks and a private car on Highway 6, near the Nesherim interchange. The driver of the private car sustained minor injuries.

Emergency services received a report of the collision at 10:02 AM. Paramedics arriving at the scene found one of the truck drivers trapped in his cabin, conscious but disoriented, with severe bodily injuries. Medical teams provided treatment while firefighters worked to extricate him.

After being freed from the truck, the driver was evacuated by a mobile intensive care unit to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Medical Center. He is suffering from abdominal, chest, and limb injuries, and his condition is described as serious and unstable.

A senior paramedic, Rafi Cohen, stated, "When we arrived, we saw a road accident between two trucks and a man about 50 years old, disoriented, trapped with multi-system trauma. We provided him with medical treatment during the rescue operations, and after he was freed, we evacuated him by mobile intensive care unit to the hospital in serious condition."

Volunteers from the United Hatzalah emergency service provided respiratory support, bandaging, and stabilization to the injured truck driver. They reported that the driver of the private car involved in the accident was treated at the scene and is in mild condition.
