Shufersal CEO Pledges 25 Torah Scrolls for National Unity
Shufersal CEO Shlomi Amir announced a significant initiative during a holiday gathering for thousands of the retail chain's employees, pledging to donate and bring 25 new Torah scrolls into use within the coming year. Amir emphasized that "the thing our people need so much at this time is the unity of Israel." This follows a similar event two months prior, where Shufersal, under the management of brothers Shlomi and Yossi Amir, introduced 18 Torah scrolls. The new donation is dedicated to the souls of fallen soldiers and victims of hostilities.
During the New Year's toast for Shufersal staff, Amir further elaborated on the spiritual significance of the Torah, stating, "Our connection to the Creator of the world passes through the Torah, and it is the connection that accompanies and leads us all the way. This is a clear statement about who we are and about our special people."
He concluded with well wishes for the Jewish people, hoping for "a year of unity and redemption, a year of quiet and peace, a good and sweet year."
