Special Torah Scroll Created for Unity and Netanyahu’s Success to Be Placed in Gaza Envelope Synagogue

A unique Torah scroll is being written to symbolize unity among the Jewish people and to pray for the success of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Once completed, the scroll will be placed in a synagogue in one of the communities in the Gaza envelope region, an area heavily affected by the October 7 attacks and subsequent losses. The exact community for the scroll’s placement is currently being decided.

The public is invited to participate in this project by purchasing individual letters in the Torah for just 5 shekels each, allowing many Jews in Israel and worldwide to contribute. The initiative aims to connect three central symbols in recent Israeli and Jewish history: the Torah, unity of the Jewish people, and the resilience of Gaza envelope residents.

The scroll is being written under the supervision of Rabbi Eliya Netanel, a certified scribe and rabbi at the "Dover Tov" yeshiva in Jerusalem. The project emphasizes gratitude towards Netanyahu and calls for national unity during these critical times. Placing the Torah scroll in a Gaza envelope synagogue carries additional significance, representing continuity, faith, and connection to the broader Jewish nation despite the hardships faced by these communities. The writing of the scroll is taking place during the month of Elul, a period of reflection and prayer, with hopes for blessings, protection, and political success for the right-wing bloc in upcoming elections.
