Shufersal Co-CEO Pledges 25 Torah Scrolls for Israeli Unity
Shufersal Co-CEO and owner Shlomi Amir announced a commitment to donate and introduce 25 Torah scrolls in the coming year during a holiday gathering for thousands of the retail chain's employees. Amir stated that "the thing our people need so much at this time is Israeli unity." This follows a similar initiative two months prior, when Shufersal, under the management of brothers Shlomi and Yossi Amir, dedicated 18 Torah scrolls in a ceremony attended by bereaved families, senior security officials, and thousands of guests. The new pledge of 25 scrolls is dedicated to the souls of fallen soldiers and victims of hostile acts. Amir further emphasized the spiritual significance of the Torah, calling it a connection to God and a guiding force that defines their identity as a unique people. The company extended wishes for a year of unity, redemption, peace, and sweetness to all Jewish households.
