Olympiacos Nicosia Pursues Israeli Defender Yahav Gurfinkel
Israeli left-back Yahav Gurfinkel, who is not in the plans of AEK Larnaca, is reportedly a target for another Cypriot club, Olympiacos Nicosia. According to a report by 24sports, Nicosia aims to strengthen its defense before the transfer window closes in Greece and has identified Gurfinkel as a key target. The club is said to be "very interested" in signing the player.
While the main transfer window in Greece closes tomorrow, September 10th, there are alternative avenues for signing players. Free agents can be signed until September 30th, and local loan deals are also possible until the end of the month. Olympiacos Nicosia is closely monitoring Gurfinkel's situation and is actively pushing to reach an agreement with the player.
Gurfinkel previously played for Chinese club Shanghai Port after two years with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Although he participated in two Conference League qualifying matches against Beitar Jerusalem, he has since been left out of AEK Larnaca's squad.
