Olympiacos Nicosia Pursues Israeli Defender Yahav Gurfinkel
Israeli left-back Yahav Gurfinkel, who is not in the plans of AEK Larnaca, is reportedly a target for another Cypriot club, Olympiacos Nicosia. According to a report by 24sports, Nicosia is interested in signing the defender to strengthen their backline before the transfer window closes in Greece. The club has expressed significant interest in Gurfinkel and is actively pushing to reach an agreement with the player.
While the transfer deadline in Greece is imminent, there are alternative avenues for signing players. Free agents can be signed until September 30th, should Gurfinkel be released by AEK Larnaca. Additionally, local loan deals are possible until the end of the month. Olympiacos Nicosia is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to act.
Gurfinkel played in two Conference League qualifying matches against Beitar Jerusalem but has since been left out of his team's squad. Previously, he played for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua after two years with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
