Likud Minister Yoav Kisch Urges Right-Wing Voters to Back Bloc Parties

Minister of Education Yoav Kisch has called on right-wing voters to cast their ballots strategically in the upcoming elections, urging them to avoid voting for parties that may not pass the electoral threshold. Speaking to Kikar HaShabbat after the submission of party lists, Kisch stated that right-wing voters should not be choosing between "Winter and Gantz," implying a choice between fringe right-wing parties and the center-left. Instead, he advised, "You need to vote for Likud, or certainly for parties that pass the electoral threshold in the right-wing camp."

Earlier, while submitting the Likud party list, Kisch had specifically warned against supporting "Winter's party," referring to the Otzma Yehudit party led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, which is running in a bloc with other right-wing factions. Kisch's remarks highlight concerns within the Likud party about vote fragmentation on the right, which could potentially weaken its electoral prospects and benefit centrist or left-wing parties.
